The fourth try in capturing the previous image with my new polaroid. Once I started I sort of kept going. It was more difficult than I thought and now I have only four left :(. Such a pity the film is so expensive...

The deer was a gift from mom a while ago, the clock a flea market find (I can't wind it up because it drives the boyfriend nuts) en the flower, ah the flower is a result of planting wild flower seeds on my little balcony. It's now in between a flower press, waiting to be in a pretty album one day...

When I saw this little lamp at the All the luck in the world - stand at the Sunday Market, I needed it! Even though it doesn't work, I hope my love can fix the wiring so it can one day shine a pretty light on a little deer :).

I've been a bit hesitant with placing this photo. My project is called a Deer a Day, and not 'this once was part of a deer' a day... I've been just as hesitant with buying the little antlers, because let me be clear, I really do not support killing deer (or any other animal) for their assets. Perhaps if the deer died a natural death it wouldn't be so sad, but there's no way of knowing if this is what happened to the one these antlers once belonged to unfortunately. So why did I take it with me? I wish I could explain, but something in me made me want to cherish it. Antlers are so beautiful and they made me feel closer to deer and nature. It might sound silly, and I am a little silly, but somehow I hope the deer these antlers once belonged to knows they are now being loved.. in some strange way...

Yesterday, my friend Lucia and I visited the Sunday market in Amsterdam. I bought so many lovely items. The deer vase and buttons came from Ingthings stand. It was nice to meet her in person.
